My National Park Experience

My National Park Experience

In the last couple of years, I have visited a few National Parks including Gettysburg, parts of the Appalachian Trail, and the Washington Monument.

Gettysburg

In Gettysburg, I hiked almost the whole battle field.  I did this in five different hikes.  I had also visited the Eisenhower farm and the Cyclorama. It was really cool when I went up onto Little Round Top. There was a great view. I could see Devil’s Den. When I went to the cemetery, I had to be quiet to be respectful. It was really fun and well-maintained.

Washington D.C.

In the summer of 2016, I visited Washington D.C. with my family. We visited lots of places including the Washington Monument but I didn’t get to go in it because the National Park Service was working on it.

There is a monument growing out of my head.
